Overview
Agile has become a standard worldwide and businesses that have applied the principles have seen first hand that they are more inclined to achieve their business goals when implementing it.
6pm’s Agile expertise is extensive as we have worked on Agile roll out projects at British Airways (UK), Storebrand (Norway), Verizon (USA) and Manulife (Canada) amongst many others. Over the last 13 years, 6pm delivered over 200 training courses, enabling delegates to embrace the agile philosophy, principles and techniques and ensuring that organizations achieve
• Reduced time to market.
• Improved quality
• Reduced cost
• Increased productivity
6pm’s agile expertise is very holistic and includes some of the more popular methods such as DSDM, SCRUM, RUP and XP. While these world renowned agile methods deliver immediate business benefit, 6pm has identified that most projects fail due to weak requirements definition, estimates and lack of visibility.
To compliment the methods already mentioned, 6pm has developed a very unique requirements gathering process and tools. The combination of the standard agile methods and the 6pm requirements gathering process is a powerful combination that creates a very unique solution that brings the business knowledge into the development process.
Although certain IT projects not suited to an Agile development framework, it has been recognized that the principles can be implemented in some way or form across any project, and the requirements gathering process is definitely a case in point.
At 6pm we have implemented this unique combination on several occasion and have helped deliver the ‘right’ solution, on time and to budget, helping our customers to derive immediate business benefit through increased productivity, improved quality and reduced cost.
Therefore, the formula for successfully implementing the Agile approach does not lie in identifying, if, where and when the philosophy can be adopted, however the trick lies in being smart about how to implement it! Top down commitment is essential as well as a conscious effort to manage the cultural change that adopting such an approach entails.
6pm is launching a series of Agile Executive Information Sessions to share our experience and shed some light on the Agile principles and how best to adopt and implement them to achieve your goals and maximize business benefit within your organization.
